my first blog comment!

Thank you Barbara. It means so much to have someone notice and comment when they enjoy the products. I tried to reply, but I’m so un techy that I couldn’t make a reply up load on my own blog!. anyway, perhaps I should really stick to what I do best. we are such a small, family run, company, that every customer - every single one of you, is truly important to us. there have many of you have already re-ordered  and as we have watched them come in we have squealed with delight at those who have ordered twice - or sometimes even more than that!

Thank you all so much for your support. Business can be a very hard task master, as you will know from the news, and of course we have not been immune to the vagaries of currency, interest rates tough retail conditions and the like, but comments like yours Barbara make all the difference.

cheers

The highlight of Christmas.

It seems too soon to get back to work. I hardly feel that I’ve stopped. Had that dreadful dreadful flu. Two weeks so far and not gone yet.

So the highlight of Christmas? Boxing Day! We literally didn’t  move. Got hooked into a documentary about Cecil B De Mille and then snoozed our way through 4 hours of the Ten Commandments. My kids could only manage short sections without cringing at the actors, the makeup, the set and the effects. But I didn’t care. It brought me back to my childhood. Sunday afternoons in front of the fire, in our tiny ‘TV’ room. I think that terminology was a peculiarly 60’s thing in Dungiven (yes, I do come from the same village as Eioghan!) when TV’s were new and exciting things and the era of colour was still a great wonderment to us all. And now I’m waiting for a re run of Joan Of Arc with Ingrid Bergman. I wonder how bad the effects are on that one. I hope the acting is still as good as I remember from when I was six. Was it is Back and White? I just remember it as being phenomenal. Made me want to be an actress. And a heroine!

Yes, boxing day was the highlight of Christmas.
